Its brown, grainy skin encases soft, juicy flesh dotted with black seeds. Chikoo is enjoyed fresh, often sliced, or scooped out with a spoon, and used in milkshakes, ice creams, and desserts. Rich in vitamins and minerals, this versatile fruit is a favourite among Indian households for its distinctive taste and creamy texture. Brown-skinned sapotas are smooth to grainy textured, musky-scented, and deliciously sweet in taste. The flesh generally contains 2-3 large and inedible black seeds.
